Spiritual jimmy
I was raised Catholic. I attended a Catholic elementary school, middle school, high school, and even college. I took religion courses at every level and always earned an A or B grade. I've always had faith in God and I've tried to live a Christian life. I thought that I was doing okay. I listened, I followed, and I believed. The reality however, I really wasn't listening or following, or believing. I was just kind of going through the motions. My Spiritual life really began on a Monday evening in August of 2009. That was the night I received a phone call from my friend David, telling me that his 4 year old son Sebastian had been killed in a car accident. That was the beginning of my real walk with Jesus.

Many of us have heard stories about people learning to walk again. Maybe it was after a stroke, or after an accident. Learning to walk again can be a long and difficult journey. It requires hard work.
What about our spiritual walk? How much time, energy, and effort do we put into our spiritual walk with God? Do we strive to be like Him? How often do we talk with Him? Is our relationships with Him "good enough?" Is "good enough" actually enough? What can we do to make our relationship with Him better?

My friend David lost his 4 year old son Sebastian to a drunk driver. David did not give up hope, nor did his faith in God diminish. Sebastian's death was difficult and many times David asked God, "Why?" He made the decision to trust God. David once told me, "My eyes were opened. This experience forced me to dig deeper. Now my thought is, Wow, this is what I've been missing."
David would be the first one to tell you that he would not wish the loss of a child on anyone. He and his wife Christa have suffered immensely from their loss. David and Christa's story of faith and forgiveness are amazing. Their story of faith and forgiveness inspired me to write all the Christian songs that you can find on my Christian Music page. Listening to other people’s journeys and using their stories to “jump start” our own relationship with God is a powerful thing. Testimonials are one way to "jump start" our walk with Jesus. There are many ways. Every Sunday when I return home from Mass I feel rejuvenated. When I return home from a retreat or a worship hour, I feel rejuvenated. When I talk to God in prayer, I feel rejuvenated. This website is me walking; taking a step towards Jesus.
